ASEAN DEFENCE MINISTERS’ MEETING RETREAT

Vientiane, Lao PDR, 15-17 November 2016

 

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

 

 

1. Purpose

 

This document provides information on the administrative arrangements of the ADMM Retreat which will be held at Don Chanh Palace Hotel, Vientiane, Lao PDR on 15-17 November 2016.

 

2. Hospitality

 

The host will cover the cost of the meeting facilities, meeting lunches, Executive Suites for the ADMM Leaders and spouses, ASEAN Secretary-General and spouse, and 2 Deluxe Rooms for 2 accompanying officials from 15 Nov 2016 (Check-in) to 17 Nov 2016 (Check-out) at Don Chanh Palace Hotel, Vientiane, Lao PDR.

3. Bilateral Meeting

 

Bilateral meeting rooms will be available during the meeting. Kindly submit the Bilateral Form to the 10th ADMM Secretariat via e-mail provided in Section 12 by 05 Nov 2016.

 

4. Transportation

 

 The host will provide cars for the ADMM Leaders, ASEAN Secretary-General, ADSOM Leaders, and a van for accompanying delegates from 15 to 17 Nov 2016 including airport transfers.

 

5. Medical Facilities

 

Basic medical facilities will be provided during the meeting.

 

6. Currency

 

Most internationally recognised currencies and travelers’ checks can be exchanged at Wattay International Airport and commercial banks. Credit cards are also accepted in some local hotels, restaurants and shops. The exchange rate of US$1 is approximately equivalent to 8,000 Lao Kip.

 

7. Registration

 

The delegates are kindly requested to return the completed Registration Form to the 10th ADMM Secretariat by 24 Oct 2016.

 

8. Attire

 

The attire for the meeting is lounge suit without tie.

 

9. Electricity

 

Electricity plugs in Lao P.D.R may be different from some other countries. The electricity current is 220 V. The plug type often used in Lao P.D.R is shown below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

10. Weather Conditions

 

The weather in Vientiane in November is between 18 to 28 Degrees Celsius.

 

11. Local Time

 

Local time in the Lao PDR is GMT+7.
